Dran Reese

Dran Reese, President of The Salt & Light Council
While we best know Dran Reese as founder and president of The Salt and Light Council, she is also the former president of QuakeHold! Industrial and founder of ReadyAmerica.com. This is a great American success story that began with a woman who took an idea and turned it into a thriving business. As a product inventor, familiar with operations/budgets/marketing and administration, the company has grown to be nation’s largest supplier of emergency, disaster-preparedness products and safety fasteners in the United States and Japan.

Prior to that, Dran served 20 successful years as a fashion consultant in the fast-paced garment industry, and as Vice-President of Marketing for Home Theater Movies, one of the nation’s first major independent distributors and licensing agents of prerecorded videocassettes.

In January 2009, Dran Reese founded The Salt &Light Council (SLC) whose focus is on nationwide training that equips churches to start Salt & Light Biblical Citizenship Ministries.  SLC provides a strategic implementation program for activating the Church to become a positive influence and witness for our Christian values in government, media and education. With churches activated in 23 states, SLC supplies a turn-key, sustainable ministry with legal and on-going support.

Besides extensive travel and running the ministry, Dran hosts a daily, national prayer call, online biblical worldview class, and maintains several websites.

Dran is married with three children and one grandchild. She enjoys water skiing, Bible study, and community leadership activities. She received a scholarship to USC for Business/Marketing, attended UCSD in Web Development, and finished the eight-year Bible Study Fellowship course.

Dran's passion for marketing and business development continues today. It comes second only to her love for God and family, and her desire to leave a strengthened and renewed Christian America to the next generation.

GAIL LEVIN / Affiliate Director, The Salt & Light Council (SLC).

Much of Gail's early Christian outreach has been in social-action capacities. As such, she has a heart for not only civic engagement, but in seeing the Church affect the culture through both Spirit and truth.

As Founder and Executive Director of Generational Crossroads (GC), for 15 years, Gail led hundreds to relational and generational freedom through the power of Jesus Christ. An ordained minister, she has volunteered in many capacities, including counseling women at a Crisis Pregnancy Center, receiving mediator training through a victim-offender reconciliation program, and serving as assistant director for an ex-gay ministry.

These days, Gail conducts new affiliate trainings, is the ongoing back-office support for affiliate ministries, and is managing editor of SLC’s Monthly Maintenance that connects congregations nationwide with pivotal articles that offer churches pertinent Scriptures and prayer and action points.

Gail notes an interesting similarity between The Salt & Light Council and Generational Crossroads. “In GC,” she says, “People sought God’s strength to deal with their personal and generational sins. In SLC, we encourage Biblical Christians to seek and find the heart of God regarding our corporate, national sins. Either way, personally or nationally, it’s hard, humbling work to recognize we are all in need of God’s Divine healing. Once there, though, the breakthroughs are incredibly freeing.”

On the personal side, Gail is married with two children and three grandchildren. She is a member of a local Messianic Congregation, and involved in prayer ministries. Gail loves to worship in dance, which she calls “full-body worship.”

Stephen Edward Broden is a former Republican political candidate from the state of Texas in the 30th congressional district (map) for the United States House of Representatives. He was defeated by Democratic incumbent Eddie Bernice Johnson. Broden is a businessman, political commentator, former professor, and an activist for pro-life causes.

Broden graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor and then a Master of Arts degree in Communication, and he later studied at the Dallas Theological Seminary where he received a Master of Arts in Bible Studies.

He served as an Adjunct Professor at Dallas Baptist University from 1990 to 1992 and spent 10 years in the private sector at Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) in Human Resources. He has been a business owner of several self-serve car wash facilities, and has also worked as a newscaster, disc jockey, and radio broadcaster. Currently he is a co-host on the radio program Life and Liberty for KSKY, 660 AM and is also a radio broadcaster of One-Minute "thought of the day" commentaries on this station.

Broden founded the Fair Park Bible Fellowship Church in 1987 and serves as its Senior Pastor.[4] He has served as President of the Fair Park Friendship Center for over 18 years and as its Executive Director for over 11 years.[5] The center provides assistance to the community's "inner-city" families, including a clothing store and back-to-school rally where children from neighborhood families are provided with donated school supplies and family counseling.[6]

Broden advocates in the Fair Park and South Dallas areas for economic opportunity, improved access to education, and against abortion. He is a spokesman for the black pro-life movement in Dallas and a contributor to blackprolifemovement.blogspot.com. He is a founder of Ebony Berean, an organization whose mission includes informing African-American Pastors of the "Culture War"

He is a speaker for the Tea Party movement[8][9] and advocates for a return to what he considers proper Constitutional principles in government and the Judeo-Christian values that he claims undergird the founding of the United States of America.[10] He supports an individual's right to bear arms, which he claims emanates from the Second Amendment, and a broad conception of the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Broden has been a recurring political commentator on Fox News Channel, including appearances on the Glenn Beck show.  He was awarded “Champion of the Republican Party” by the NRCC Business Advisory Council Texas and has also received the Ronald Reagan Gold Medal Award. From 1999 to 2002 he served as Republican Precinct Chairman in DeSoto, Texas.

Walter Hoye II

Walter B. Hoye II travels around the country and the world, full time, to convey a unique pro-life message only he can share. He is a widely requested speaker who addresses the "Pro-Life Movement" with special emphasis on the impact of "Abortion in the Black America", "Personhood" and the "Role of Men Meeting the Physical and Spiritual Needs of Women". Walter strongly believes … "The church must be reminded that it is not the master or the servant of the state, but rather the conscience of the state. It must be the guide and the critic of the state, and never its tool. If the church does not recapture its prophetic zeal, it will become an irrelevant social club without moral or spiritual authority." — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Strength to Love, 1963.

As a National Black Pro-Life leader, Walter speaks for those who have no voice, understands that abortion takes the life of a child, an innocent human being, views the woman and child as one and demands men embrace their biblical roles as protector and provider.
